A BANK has helped ambitious plans for a new multi-sensory centre for people with learning disabilities move a step closer.
The Northallerton-based Pendragon Community Trust has received £3,098 towards the project from the Santander Foundation.
The grant will go towards the development of the Pendragon Centre, a new sensory centre for people with physical, mental and emotional difficulties, in Northallerton.
It will provide soft padding to create a safe environment and fibre optic bundles for the sensory zones and interactive ball pool.
Local Santander branch manager Lisa Whitecross said: “Our branch is committed to playing a key part in the community and we are delighted to be supporting the Pendragon Community Trust, and hope the donation makes a real difference to local people.”
