A 19-YEAR-OLD woman and a 26-year-old man have been arrested over an attack at a railway station which left two men with serious facial injuries.

British Transport Police said the men, aged 23 and 32, had been outside the Duke of York pub at York railway station at 9pm on Easter Sunday (April 20), when they were assaulted.

One of the men received multiple fractures to his cheekbone, the other lacerations to his face which required gluing.

A police spokesman said the teenager and the man had been interviewed and have released on police bail.

He said: “We are following a number of other lines of enquiry, including looking at any CCTV opportunities from the station, but are also keen to hear from anyone who may have any information that could assist this investigation.”

Anyone with information should call 0800-405040 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800-555111.
