A GROUP of young dancers are looking forward to the trip of a lifetime – appearing in front of an international audience at Disneyland Paris.

Eight students from Stagecoach Northallerton will be heading for France in July to perform in a huge parade.

The youngsters, aged between nine and seventeen, will be dancing in the pre-parade in front of thousands of international visitors as part of the Disney Performing Arts OnStage programme.

To secure their place the students submitted two audition pieces to Disney in the hope of being selected. It was then a nail-biting two month wait before finding out if they had made the cut.

The principal of Stagecoach Northallerton, Rick Hyland, said: “It’s such a fantastic opportunity for the students and I’m absolutely thrilled for them.

“We worked really hard on their audition pieces in class and it paid off. I’m sure performing in the pre-parade will be a memory that lasts a lifetime for them.”
