KIRKBY Fleetham Feast is holding a treasure hunt on April 27. Teams or families, a maximum of five, are invited to dress up in racing colours or in fancy dress for a bike tour around the surrounding villages of Scruton, Ainderby, Thrintoft and Langton, starting at the village hall at 2pm. Entry fee is £5 per team and children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. More information on kirkbyfleethamfeast.org
Shed raid: Police are appealing for information after a shed burglary at a cottage in Newton-upon-Rawcliffe near Malton on the night of April 14. The thieves stole Dewalt tools including drills, a jigsaw and a chop saw. Also taken was a Husquavana chainsaw and a Makita drill as well a torch and welding leads. Anyone who saw anything g unusual should contact North Yorkshire police on 101, select option two and ask for Emma Collins or email emma.collins@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
