MOUNTAIN rescue crews were called out tonight to help a woman who suffered leg injuries when she was knocked over by her dog.
The 40-year-old woman from Acklam, Middlesbrough, was out walking with her family near Roseberry Topping on the edge of the North York Moors when she was hurt at 7pm.
Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team members reached the woman using one of their Land Rover ambulances and took her to a nearby farm.
She was then transferred by ambulance to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for treatment.
A spokesman for Cleveland Mountain Rescue said it was the team's third call out in four days and their 29th so far in 2013 - an unprecendented amount for the first few months of the year.
