POLICE investigating the sudden death of a teenager in the region are appealing for help.

Nicholas Semons, 17, was found unconscious by his father at his Grosvenor Crescent home, in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, on Wednesday.

He was taken to Scarborough District Hospital around 9.30am but died later that day.

A post mortem was carried out which proved inconclusive and further tests are being done.

The death is not thought to be suspicious but the police are investigating the reasons behind it.

Detectives want to hear from anyone who knows Mr Semons’ movements on Tuesday or who had contact with him.

Anyone who can help with police enquiries should call Scarborough CID 0845-6060-247.
