REALITY television and pop stars Katie Price and Kerry Katona will wave the rainbow flag at Sunderland Pride this weekend.

The pair are the among a string of famous faces and colourful acts that will take part in city’s seventh LGBT festival on Sunday.

Venues across the city will host stalls, attractions and free entertainment including a march from Sunderland Civic Centre, entertainment at Park Lane Shopping Village during the afternoon and in Eazy Street from 6pm onwards.

Headline acts include Soraya Vivian, Angie Brown and organisers have announced that former Atomic Kitten and I’m a Celebrity star Kerry Katona and model and Loose Women panellist will be on the Easy Street stage for the official after party.

Paul Rowe, general manager of the Eazy Street Group of venues, said: “Every year we like to give something extra back to the city, especially around Pride time.

“Eazy Street is the city’s only full time LGBT venue and we believe it’s essential we deliver the best possible show we can for Pride.”
