KEEN young skaters have a chance to receive expert advice when Disney On Ice comes to “Toon” later this year.

A skating workshop is to be staged by stars of the Disney ice spectacular, Passport to Adventure, during its run at the Metro Radio Arena, in Newcastle in October.

The Disney On Ice team want to hear from budding skaters aged five upwards.

They could win the chance to spend an hour in training with professional skaters from the show cast.

Ten lucky winners will be chosen at random to attend a workshop on Wednesday October 4, at 11am.

Arena general manager Ailsa Oliver said it will be the second such master class for young skating enthusiasts during a Disney On Ice visit after a successful trial last year attracted 50-plus entries.

“The winners will have the opportunity to learn choreography actually used in the show, which they will also have the chance to see as part of their prize.”

Family tickets to see Passport to Adventure, at the October 4 evening performance, will be presented to the lucky ten youngsters selected.

The competition details are available via www.metroradioarena.co.uk, from which details of video entry scheme can be uploaded.

Entries must be submitted by 9am on Tuesday September 5.
