Man arrested after 41-year-old is stabbed
DETECTIVES have arrested a man on suspicion of assault following a stabbing in South Shields.
Officers were called to Boldon Lane after a 41-year-old man was injured just before 5am on Tuesday.
He was taken by ambulance to the RVI and later transferred to the Freeman Hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening and his condition is ‘stable’. The suspect remains in custody.
