THE trial of a former Geordie Shore star accused of assault has been adjourned.
Chantelle Connelly, 27, is accused of punching a woman outside Powerhouse nightclub in Newcastle.
At a previous hearing she pleaded not guilty to the charge of grievous bodily harm.
Newcastle Magistrates' Court was given a letter from her solicitor saying for professional reasons they were unable to represent her, so the case was adjourned for her to instruct a new one.
Putting the trial off to June 23, chairman of the bench Sarah Cuthbert said: "Very reluctantly, we have agreed to adjourn this matter."
Connelly, who was granted unconditional bail, appeared in 19 episodes of the reality TV show last year.
