NEW gates have been installed at Seaburn’s Recreation Park on Wearside.
The largest of the ornate metal gates, which weighs a tonne, was winched into place by crane.
Recreation Park is a focal point for events at the seafront including the annual Sunderland International Airshow.
Up until now because it hasn’t had any proper entrance gates.
