POLICE are appealing for help in finding a missing woman suffering the early stages of dementia.
Ann Stewart of Winslow Close, Boldon Colliery, was last seen around 11am this morning (Saturday, December 3).
The 60-year-old left her home for a morning walk and failed to return.
Ann was diagnosed last year with the early signs of dementia and may appear confused.
Her friends and family are concerned for her welfare.
She is 5ft 1ins tall, of very slim build and has short auburn straight hair.
She was wearing black leggings and black ankle boots with grey fur around the tops. A black body warmer with fur around the collar and a black and white speckley wooly hat.
Anyone who has seen her is asked to contact police on 101 immediately.
