A LUNCHTIME brawl in Newcastle city centre led to three men being arrested.
Officers were called to Grainger Street in the city centre at 12.12pm on Friday following reports of people fighting in the street.
"Police attended the area and three men aged 21, 23 and 31 years have been all been arrested on suspicion of affray and are currently in custody," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"There are no reports of anyone having been injured during the incident. There are extra officers on patrol in the area to reassure people.
"Police are appealing for witnesses, anyone who was in the area and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, is asked to contact police."
