A DRIVER was catapulted through his own sunroof after a car collided with a JCB.
The incident happened just outside Berwick on Monday.
"The Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) was called to assist North East Ambulance Service with the incident which happened just outside of Berwick at 4.40pm," said a GNAAS spokesman.
"The 29-year-old man, from Coldstream, had been ejected from the sunroof of his car and landed on the road. He sustained multiple serious injuries.
"The patient was treated at the scene by the GNAAS doctor and paramedic crew where he was stabilised before being flown to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary within 20 minutes for ongoing treatment. He arrived in a stable condition."
