BUNCHES of flowers and a toy Peppa Pig mark the place where a four-year-old girl was fatally injured after being hit by a car.
Ava Henderson died in hospital after the collision in Amos Ayre Place in Jarrow, South Tyneside, at around 7.25pm on Friday night.
Ava, of Inverness Road, Jarrow, was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and was rushed the the Royal Victoria Infirmary but died later the same night.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Officers are continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact police.”
