A FOUR-year-old girl seriously injured in a collision with a car has now died.
The collision happened at Amos Ayre Place in Jarrow, South Tyneside, at approximately 7.25pm on Friday, May 27.
Ava Henderson, aged four, was from Inverness Road in Jarrow.
"The four-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle sustaining serious injuries. She was treated at the scene by ambulance staff and taken to the RVI, but died later that evening," said a spokesman for Northumbria Police.
"Officers are continuing to investigate the incident."
