A FOUR-YEAR-OLD girl has suffered serious injuries after she was hit by a car this evening (Friday, May 27).
It happened at Amos Ayre Place in Jarrow, South Tyneside, at around 7.25pm.
The girl was treated at the scvene by ambulance staff and taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle.
Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 1083 27/05/16.
