A TEENAGE boy has been charged with murder after the body of a woman was found in a house.
The police said they received information at 7.23am on Monday which caused concern for a woman in Edendale Avenue, Blyth, Northumberland.
Officers attended along with other emergency services and a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result a 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear at North Tyneside Magistrates' Court later.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Inquiries into the murder are ongoing and anyone with any information that could help with inquiries is asked to contact police."
