CARE agency staff raised more than £800 for charity with an 11-mile sponsored walk.
Nine members of staff from the Sunderland-branch of Bluebird Care walked from the National Glass Centre to Herrington Country Park to raise money for Parkinson’s UK North East.
Abby Robinson, regional fundraiser for the charity, said ‘Walking is a great way to support a charity and I hope their experience will inspire others to take on a challenge of their own.
‘All money raised will help us to continue our work to improve the lives of people living with Parkinson’s’
Parkinson UK has also been selected by Bluebird Care as their charity of 2015. The homecare agency has already raised nearly £3000 since March, with the view to raise £4,000 by the start of 2016.
