A FENCE, trees and guttering suffered serious damage during an arson attack last week.
Police say a bush outside a house in Helmsley Close in Penshaw was set on fire at around 6.10pm on Thursday, April 2.
The fire spread and caused considerable damage, although no-one was injured during the incident.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with information is asked to ring Northumbria Police on 101, extension 69191 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
