NORTH-East darts fans were given a world class demonstration by four masters led byPhil ‘The Power’ Taylor .
The 16-times World Champion was on show at The Benfield Nissan Darts Masters on Saturday (March 28) at a packed Nissan Sports and Leisure Complex in Sunderland .
Taylor the UK’s most successful sportsman of all time in terms of major title triumphs.
He was joined by former World Champion Mark Webster, Australia’s top player Simon Whitlock and former World Youth Champion James Hubbard.
They played an exhibition match in the fourth event of its kind in Sunderlaand..
“I’m really excited about this event,” said Taylor, who is a star of the Premier League.
“I have played in the area before and I know that there are a lot of darts fans and some very good players here.
“As with everything I play in, though, I was there to win.”
Colin Pybus, operations director for Benfield Nissan, said: “The evening was a fantastic night of darts and entertainment and we are delighted to be associated with this high-profile event.”
