A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 23-year-old woman.
Anthony Ross has been charged with the killing of Melissa Liddle, whose body was found in a house in Oak Avenue, South Shields, on Sunday night.
Ross, of Oak Avenue, who is believed to be the partner of the dead woman, appeared at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday, March 17).
Mr Ross was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on March 19.
