A MAN had his nose broken after he was punched in the face outside a railway station.

The 18-year-old was hit outside Newcastle Central railway station just after 3.30am on Sunday January 21, but an appeal has only recently been issued by police.

The attack happened as he walked through a short stay car park.

PC Matthew Rogers, of British Transport Police, said: “The victim’s nose was dislocated and sustained a cut to his nose. He has been referred to hospital to see a specialist to have it reset.

“We are investigating whether the assault was linked to a previous altercation which took place outside the Digital nightclub.

“We are now releasing CCTV images of a man who we would like to speak to in connection with the incident. I’d urge anyone who recognises him please get in touch.”
