ONE of the region’s best-loved theatres has announced details of its spring-summer season.
Newcastle Theatre Royal is to stage a string of performances including classic drama, spellbinding musicals and children’s entertainment over the coming months.
Among the highlights are a six-night run of the Daphne Du Maurier’s masterpiece Rebecca in May.
A powerful production of the gripping courtroom thriller Twelve Angry Men takes to the stage in June fresh from the West End.
Family favourite Shrek The Musical, the stage show based on the award-winning DreamWorks animation, begins a 19-night run on March 11.
The National Theatre’s multi award-winning production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time is also set to visit from January 27 to February 7, while a world premiere tour of the stage adaptation of the heart-wrenching novel The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is also staged in May.
