HIT 80s band T’Pau have been forced to cancel their upcoming tour, which included dates in Stockton and Sunderland.

The Pullman Hotel at Seaburn announced earlier this week that T’Pau fronted by Carol Decker, would be launching their Pleasure & Pain Tour from Wearside on October 2.

But now the show has been postponed until February 12.

"Due to a sudden family illness, the forthcoming T'pau tour has been postponed,” said a spokesman for the band.

“Dates have been re-arranged for early 2015 and all original tickets remain valid. “Carol and the band wish to apologise for any inconvenience caused but are looking forward to seeing their fans next year and performing songs from their new album and classic hits.”

Anyone who has bought tickets and requires a refund should contact The Pullman on 0191-529 2020. Tickets for the rearranged date are now also on sale.

“Obviously it’s very disappointing that T’Pau aren’t going to be here in October but we look forward to welcoming them in February,” said John Gray, Operations Director at the Pullman.

The band had also been due to play the Arc in Stockton on October 17.

That gig has now been rescheduled for Friday, February 13. Again, all tickets remain valid.
