NEWCASTLE United manager Alan Pardew has completed the ice bucket challenge after being nominated by Sunderland AFC owner Ellis Short.

Magpies midfielder Jack Colback - who controversially moved to Newcastle on a free transfer from the Wearside club earlier this year - also accepted the challenge set by Short.

The player, who was recently handed his first call-up for the senior England side, is taunted by the Newcastle coaching staff before the tub of water is poured over his head about his goal celebration after scoring for Sunderland during last season's derby game at St James' Park.

He runs off after only half a bucket with a colleague telling him "what would Roy (Hodgson) think?" about his failure to complete the challenge, before sitting back down and having the rest of the water thrown over him.

The Black Cats chairman also nominated Newcastle owner Mike Ashley. It is not known if he has accepted the challenge.
