Go North East will run the A1 to Roker from Sunderland Interchange and Fawcett Street, on Friday evening (July 25) and all day on Saturday and Sunday (July 26 and 27).

From Washington, Concord, Sulgrave and Southwick, visitors can catch the A2 every 20 minutes on Saturday and Sunday.

The A3 will run from Durham, Belmont, Houghton-le-Spring and East Herrington, hourly on Saturday and Sunday.

Extra buses will also run on route 99 between Hylton Castle, Town End Farm, Downhill and Witherwack to Seaburn on Saturday and Sunday.

Stephen King, Go North East’s marketing and sales manager, said: “We’re delighted to be running extra buses to the 2014 Sunderland International Airshow as it’s a great day out for all the family.

“We can take the stress of driving and parking away with our extra buses which take you to the heart of the action at Seaburn.

“We’ve got a great value Family Day Ticket at only £12 which gives you unlimited bus travel on all our buses for a day for two adults and three children travelling together.

“You can even buy your Family Day Ticket on our smartphone App to save you carrying change and you can still buy your ticket from the driver on the day too. Customers in Sunderland can save too with our Sunderland Daysaver which gives you unlimited travel in Sunderland for only £3.50 per day.”
