TWO men have been arrested after a third man suffered head injuries in a street disturbance.
At 8.20pm on Wednesday, July 16, police were called to Hylton Bank, Sunderland, following reports of a group of around ten men fighting, one armed with a metal bar.
Officers found a 45-year-old man with head injuries. He was taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
Subsequent enquiries revealed the incident followed a verbal altercation at the nearby Comrades Club.
Two men, aged 39 and 30, have been arrested on suspicion of unlawful wounding. They are being interviewed by police.
