TRIAL: Burglary accused Shaun O'Kane to stand trial at Durham Crown Court in the New Year
A MAN is to stand trial in the New Year accused of either burgling or trying to break into five houses in the same street on the same day.
Appearing at Durham Crown Court via video link from the city’s nearby prison, Shaun James O’Kane denied all five counts, plus common assault of a woman who challenged him, stemming from incidents in early evening in Heather Way, Stanley, on Friday August 18.
The 31-year-old defendant, of Bircham Street, Stanley, was remanded to remain in custody until the trial at the court, in the week of January 8.
