A PRINTING company has pledged to support a treasured local charity through a paper recycling scheme.

Print Me It, which is based in Stanley, is raising funds for Willow Burn Hospice, near Lanchester, through the green initiative, which runs throughout 2017.

The firm has supported Willow Burn Hospice for more than three years with a variety of activities including sponsorship of the printing for last year’s Charity Ball.

Managing director Adam Chetter said “My mother was cared for by the wonderful staff at Willow Burn Hospice so I know first-hand the dedication shown by their hard working team and the compassion they show during the worst personal experiences families can go through.”

Paper, including card and newspapers, can be dropped off at the Print Me It offices between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

An extra collection point will be available at Willow Burn Hospice reception.

Laura Douthwaite, from the hospice, said “This is a great way to get involved and also raise awareness and funds for Willow Burn.

“You wouldn’t think that a bit of old paper could make a difference but it all adds up”.
