LIVE music and real ale have been planned at a north Durham visitor attraction this weekend.
Tanfield Railway, near Stanley, has arranged a traditional brass band and innovative drummers as part of the first Tanfield Live event.
As well as live performances tomorrow and Sunday, visitors can enjoy a range of real ales and steam train rides.
Tanfield Railway director David Watchman said: “Our railway with its period charms and relaxed atmosphere makes a great stage.
“This event is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate some of the North-East’s musical traditions, while at the same time shine a spotlight on some of the region’s most exciting new talent and innovative styles.”
The line-up includes Cramlington Caribbean Crew steel band, Sunderland indie group Cohesion and traditional North-East folk songs from cult favourite George Welch.
The railway’s coal mining heritage will also be brought to the stage with a performance by Backworth Colliery Band.
Steam train journeys are 10.30am to 3.45pm.
