A MUSEUM dedicated to the past was faced with a 21st Century problem on Monday when hackers took over its Facebook account.
A string of posts, several containing photographs of scantily-clad models, were posted on Beamish Museum’s Facebook site which has almost 60,000 likes.
The family museum is dedicated to life in Edwardian England, but there was nothing modest about some of the posts placed on its site, featuring a number of models dressed only in their underwear.
A spokesperson for Beamish Museum said via Twitter: “Unfortunately, our Facebook page has been hacked. We are working to regain control.”
