TWO Army cadets are swapping combats for the catwalk to help raise money for charity.

Brothers Bradley and Lewis Knight have agreed to pose as models for a fashion show at Stanley Civic Hall.

Sergeant Bradley Knight, 17, is a student at New College Durham and Lance Corporal Lewis Knight, 15, attends Whickham Comprehensive School.

They are both part of B Company The Rifles based in their home town of Stanley.

As well as the fashion show the ladies night event features stalls, raffles and live entertainment from international female impersonator Bella Bluebell.

The event this Friday has been organised to raise money for Breast Cancer UK.

Dawn Knight, the boys’ mother, said: “Their grandmother and my aunt survived breast cancer so it is a cause close to their hearts. But when I asked them I expected them to tell me where to go.

“They have embraced it and are well up for it so I am very proud that they said ‘yes’.

“They are probably going to get a bit of stick but it is water off a duck’s back because it is for a good cause.”

Tickets cost £10, which will include a glass of bubbly on arrival, and can be booked by calling 01207 299110. Doors open at 6.30pm but evening starts at 7pm.
