A COMMUNITY fun day has been held for families in the North-East.
Over 100 people attended the Easter event at St Margaret’s Church Hall at Tanfield, near Stanley, County Durham, today. (Monday, April 21) Children took part in an Easter egg hunt, colouring competition and games, while adults enjoyed home baked afternoon teas.
A photographic competition was held to choose twelve shots of last year’s village scarecrow festival to create a calendar for next year.
Durham County and Stanley Town Councillor Joyce Charlton said: “It has been fabulous. “There have been lots of families here and it has been lovely.”
