A MAN who was airlifted to hospital after falling off scaffolding is hosting a music festival to raise money for the charity which saved him.
Architect Arron Atmore, 47, from Monk Hesleden, near Peterlee, was working on one of the cottages he owns in Nenthead, Alston, when he fell approximately 15 feet off the scaffolding in September 2016.
He had broken his back in three places and a paramedic and doctor team from Great North Air Ambulance Service worked alongside North West Ambulance Service on scene before airlifting him to the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.
He is hosting the Lonesome Pine Music Festival on Saturday June 30 at 3pm at Bankside Farm, Nenthead, Alston, Cumbria CA9 3NA.
Entry is a minimum donation of £5 and there is also camping available in return for a donation.
