AN AWARD-winning Wensleydale author is set to jump out of a plane in aid of working horse and donkey charity Brooke.

On Saturday, August 18 Brooke is hosting a tandem skydive experience at Peterlee Parachute Centre in Durham, and Little Alf author Hannah Russell is taking part.

On the ground, friends and family will have the opportunity to meet miniature Shetland pony Little Alf, as he and Miss Russell are ambassadors for Brooke’s Every Horse Remembered campaign, which marks 100 years since the end of WW1 and highlights the heroic struggle of war horses.

She said: “I’m really proud to be supporting Brooke on my skydive; I’m incredibly passionate about the work they do across the globe.”
