FIREFIGHTERS were called to a shed fire this morning to discover it involved an acetylene cylinder.
A spokesperson for the County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said: "We received a call to reports of a fire at Sandringham Crescent in Horden, near Peterlee, at 4am.
"The Peterlee Red Watch were sent to the scene. The fire was an an outbuilding where it was found an acetylene cylinder was involved.
"Firefighters worked together to cool the cylinder so that it is safe. They left the scene and will revisit it throughout the day to check everything remains cool."
