POLICE are appealing for help from members of the public after some distinctive jewellery was stolen in a recent burglary.
The incident happened at a house on Earsdon Road, Houghton-le-Spring, between 9am and 3.30pm on Thursday February 15.
The offenders stole a number of items of jewellery, including a platinum ring, charm bracelet, Virgin Mary pendant on gold chain, blue-faced police watch, Flip4 speaker, silver train containing son’s first lock of hair, Peter Rabbit money box.
Also stolen were a wedding ring belonging to the victim’s deceased grandad, inscribed Hendrik Loda London 12/01/52, and a war medal in the name Leoladia Rybacki.
