FAMILIES from across Peterlee will enjoy a cracking start to Easter at Castle Dene Shopping Centre, with an array of free fun activities for all the family.

The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at the centre on Good Friday, spreading smiles by handing out free mini chocolate eggs to shoppers and meeting local children between 10am to 4pm.

There will also be a balloon modeller in attendance from 11am to3pm, transforming balloons into Easter themed characters for youngsters.

On Saturday, March 31, the centre’s Kids Club will be back in the shopping centre from 11am to 3pm, helping children to make a variety of seasonal creations.

From colouring sheets, to brightly coloured play-doh Easter eggs, chicks and rabbits, children will have the opportunity to get stuck into fun arts and crafts sessions and take something special home for the family just in time for Easter.

Operations Manager at Castle Dene Shopping Centre, Suzanne Chaney, said: “We love bringing the community together with our events and can’t wait to welcome the Easter Bunny to the centre to meet local shoppers and children.

“We can’t wait to see all of the colourful creations from our young customers too.”
