CHARGED: Karl John Bertram has appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent
A MAN has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Karl John Bertram Murray, of Station Road, Peterlee, is alleged to have attacked the victim at a property in Byron Street in the town on Saturday.
The 22-year-old did not enter a plea when he appeared before magistrates in Newton Aycliffe yesterday.
The case was committed to Durham Crown Court on February 23. Mr Murray was remanded in custody until the hearing.
