A CHARITY single in honour of Bradley Lowery has been shooting up the download charts as the youngster enjoys a holiday in Yorkshire.

The single Smile for Bradley was released on Friday morning and has already reached the download chart.

Bradley, who has captured the nation’s heart thanks to his bravery in battling neuroblastoma,a rare form of cancer, is known for his beaming smile.

The single was recorded by sister duo Liv ‘n’ G, from Hartlepool, who also released a Christmas song for Bradley which made the top 20.

They are pushing for the song, which is raising money for the Bradley Lowery Foundation, which will support other children going through treatment, to reach number one.

They have reworked the song Smile with an original verse inspired by Bradley.

The young Sunderland AFC fan was delighted when his classmates at Blackhall Colliery Primary School made a recording of the verse for him to watch.

Mum Gemma, via the family’s Facebook page, said: “This song means so much to us as a family as it has so much meaning.

“My baby’s smile has brought so many people together. When I showed him the footage of his class mates singing it he was so happy.”

The six-year-old from Blackhall Colliery, near Hartlepool, has been on holiday in Yorkshire after being too ill to travel to Disney World.

On Friday, he was invited to be the guest of honour at Scarborough Sea Life, where he enjoyed a breakfast with the seals.

Hannah Carr a spokesperson for Sea Life Scarborough said: “When we found out that Bradley was coming on holiday to Scarborough we knew we had do something special for him.

“We really wanted his entire family to have a memorable and fun time, so we created a special breakfast with our rescued seals and gave him an exclusive tour of the aquarium.”

In May, Bradley’s family was given the devastating news that his cancer was spreading rapidly just after he celebrated his sixth birthday. He has been battling the disease for most of his life, after being diagnosed at just 18-months-old.
