A MAN has been taken to hospital after a house fire in Seaham on Monday night.
Fire crews from Seaham and Peterlee were called to the blaze at 10.25pm on Cottages Road, in the Dawdon area of the town.
A joint investigation between Durham Police and County Durham and Darlington Fire Service into the blaze will take place today to establish how it started.
One man has been taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries are not known.
