EMERGENCY services have been dealing with a crash involving a tractor in Essington Way, Peterlee.
A Durham Police spokesman said a silver saloon collided with a tractor at about 9.40am. There are not believed to be any injuries.
The road was closed for nearly three hours while the scene was cleared.
One person who witnessed the aftermath wrote on Facebook: "Bloody hell tractor on its side in Peterlee and smashed cars."
Another wrote: "Essington road closed at Crawford Ave. It looks like a car has ran into a tractor."
