TRAFFIC on the A19 is reportedly back to normal after an accident on Friday morning involving 15 vehicles.
The incident happened near the A1086 exit just north of Peterlee.
Motorists were warned to expect delays of up to 45 minutes.
The accident is said to have been cleared on A19 Northbound near the A1086.
Lane two of the carriageway was closed until around 10.25am. Gritting services are at the scene.
Durham Police posted on Facebook: "A19 Easington is now clear. Thanks for your patience."
