RESIDENTS and staff at an east Durham care home have helped a children’s football team kick off the new season in style.
Field View Care Home in Blackhall Colliery raised £300 to kit out the Peterlee Helford Under 11s with new home strips.
Children from the team, along with family members and club coaches visited the home to personally thank everyone for their help in raising the money, as well as show off their new orange kits.
Janice Hardy, activities co-ordinator at Field View Said: “They looked so smart and were wonderful with our residents who loved meeting them and were so proud of how good the new kits looked.”
The team were also sponsored by Contract Domestic Flooring (CDL), who donated £300 for their away kits.
