People reported trapped after crash between two HGVs
PEOPLE were reported trapped following an accident between two HGVs.
Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue said the accident happened on Tuesday morning.
"Appliances from Consett and Peterlee have attended an RTC with persons reported trapped near Derwent water," they Tweeted. "This was reported to be a collision between two HGV's. Firefighters performed precautionary checks on the two drivers. The Police and Ambulance were also in attendance."
