EAST Durham College’s Technical Academy will be hosting a student open day this weekend.
Students or parents looking at vocational or apprenticeship options in the engineering or construction trades for September 2016 are invited to the facility, based on Peterlee’s South West Industrial Estate from 10am to 2pm tomorrow (Saturday, March 12).
It is home to the college’s provision of engineering, electrical, plumbing & gas, motor vehicle maintenance, tiling and welding.
Staff members from all areas will be available to talk people through courses, and visitors will have the opportunity to tour the facilities.
Support staff from the college will also be on hand to talk about careers advice and guidance, financial, travel and learning support available at the college.
Rob Hutchinson, centre manager and stakeholder engagement at the Academy, said: “We have a fantastic facility here and it will be a great opportunity for people to come and view the site and see what we have to offer."
For more information on the event, or courses available at The Technical Academy call 0191-518-5577.
