TEENAGER HURT: Police appealing for witnesses to South Hetton accident
A TEENAGE cyclist suffered a broken elbow in a hit-and-run collision.
The 15-year-old was riding his bike in South Hetton, County Durham when its back wheel was hit by a large burgundy car, possibly a Nissan Qashqai.
The youngster fell from his bike, suffering a broken elbow which required surgery.
The vehicle failed to stop after the accident, which happened at about 5.30pm on Friday, August 15.
Anyone who has information about the collision or the driver is asked to contact Durham Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
