A TALENT school for aspiring actors in Newcastle has proven to be so popular that it is to expand and run classes in County Durham.

Peanuts Talent and Casting was set up a year ago to provide actors for television and stage work.

Located in the Famous 4.15 centre, in Newcastle, it provides a base for youngsters aged between four and 19-years to hone their skills.

During the past year the group has provided actors for ITV’s Vera and CBBC’s Wolfblood.

It is now planning to move to Lee House, in Peterlee, with the new facility opening next Thursday. (August 14)

Kathryn Ackley, a creative director of the company, said: “We want to extend the sessions out to as many children as we can across the North-East.

“We would like to offer the sessions to as many youngsters as possible of all abilities.”

Sessions will run between 4.30pm and 8.30pm on Thursday and Friday during the third week of each month.

They will run between 9am and 2pm in Newcastle on Sunday in the same week from September.
