PLANS have been put forward to extend a primary school.
Durham County Council has submitted the planning application for Framwellgate Moor Primary School, in Durham.
It wants to extend the front of the building to create a larger office and a new Special Educational Needs (SEN) room.
It says the new development is needed as current SEN facilities are not suitable.
The works are scheduled to be finished by the end of August., to coincide with other works at the school.
In April, the school in Newton Drive was given permission to build four new classrooms, which will mean it will be able to cater for 100 extra pupils in future years. The previous application included a new parents' waiting area.
